Zachary T. Kier

Picture
Zachary T. Kier received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, College of Engineering in 2009.  While at the University of Cincinnati Zachary served as President of UC Mountaineering Club, introducing his fellow students to the wonders of nature.   As the Technical Lead for the UC Students for the Exploration and Development of Space he helped the team win the 2009 Battle of the Rockets national championship.  One of Zach’s most fulfilling roles has been to act as a Technical Judge for the FIRST Lego League regional, state, and national competitions, facilitating science and engineering opportunities for future generations.  He also explored the western United States while on co-op at NASA‘s Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he worked on the development of the Mars Science Laboratory.  Zach has been named on several patent pending technologies from his co-op at Cornerstone Research Group and research conducted at the University of Cincinnati.  He is currently attending the PhD program in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan.
